Take a good look around today at the tiny creatures that surround us. When you go outside, which kind of person will you be? The one who notices the beauty of the little things in life or the one who trudges by in a hurry, oblivious to the wonders at our feet? In the world at large today, health officials warn of a mosquito-borne virus in Florida, prompting Disney World to close its hotel swimming pools and golf courses before dusk. In technology news, an increasing number of teachers in the St. Louis suburbs are using e-mail to correspond more efficiently with the families of their students. In our town, the tadpoles are growing up and leaving home. Earlier this month I reported that our inflatable pool on the deck had become a frog nursery.Well there aren't many of the little darlin's left. Last week we found one tiny frog and evidently he has since hopped off. I think these will become tree frogs. The mama had frequented our hot tub last summer (it's 10 years old and broken down this summer, hence the inflatable pool) and she has been chirping lullabies nightly.
